A Link Worth Following

Matt Curran has just composed a leaflet entitled "What to do if you suspect your child wants to be a writer"--Advice for Parents (spinning off from a government pamphlet on children and gangs). Go on--you know you want to read it.

(Most addicts live in seclusion, only interacting socially with other writers (while this is acceptable behaviour in adults, this should be discouraged in children). Writing addiction can lead to obsessive behaviour especially later on in life. Some published writers go on to other obsessive behaviours such as Googling their own names, and checking Amazon rankings)

I love that...

Hey, Jamie--

I used to Google myself, but now I have Google Alerts, so Google Googles me.

On the other hand, I've never checked my Amazon rankings. Because I can't figure out what they really mean.

Please don't explain. I spend enough time reading blogs (including yours, of course).
