Can I Buy You a Drink?

I'm passing through London once again, for a meeting on November 27th.

I'll be around on the 26th (though probably worse for wear, having just arrived that morning). At the moment, I have Friday the 28th free. If you're around and available, I'd be happy to knock back a glass of something with y'all.

LATE NEWS: This is cross-posted over on the MNW blog. Len Tyler has kindly offered to locate a venue for Friday evening.

If you're around but Friday evening is out for you, drop me an e-mail and maybe you and I can meet up during the day. Though you'll miss out on the rest of the gang!)

I'd love to meet up with you, David, but I won't be in London that weekend. On the other hand, if you could make it to Rome the week before, you could come to my presentation!

David, I'd love to meet up and share a glass of something. Name a time and place - preferably at lunchtime or in the afternoon - and I'll be there!

Hi, David

It's a question of when and where for me. I can meet up that Friday late afternoon/evening for a few drinks and a natter. (Hopefully HM Gov will let me have a day off to make the jaunt from Sheffield to London!).

Take it easy

Matt

Hi, Charles--

Yes, Rome isn't all that close to London. Good thing, too, or English history would be quite different.

I won't be in Rome for your presentation, either, but we'll look you up next time we get there. (One of my favorite cities for doing nothing in particular.)

PS People like Binetti make me happy in a perverse sort of way. It sometimes seems like all the complete whack-jobs are piled up here in the US. It's always good to be reminded they exist elsewhere!

Hey, Alis--

As you've no doubt seen, Len is organizing something for Friday eve. But if that doesn't suit, you and I could meet up earlier in the day.

Hey, Matt--

See you at the Friday eve thing(asuming you can make the schlep from Sheffield)?

Well, David, if you're up for a blast from your past, I'd be happy to buy you a Scotch (or other tipple of your choice) as congratulations for Shock and Awe, and say "aloha" -- you name the place; I'd be coming down from Oxford.

Wendy, what a nice surprise!

Let me sort out my schedule and get back to you, but I'd love to meet up.

Hi David - I'm wondering if you'd like to get together for lunch somewhere? And anybody else who's not able to make Len's in the evening too. Would this suit?
