As I mentioned in an earlier post, two authors I adore were competing for the Orange Prize this year--Patricia Wood and Rose Tremain.
The bad news is that Patricia didn't win...this year.
The good news is that Rose did.
The really good news is that they were on the list in the first place. Congrats to both of them...
...and keep in mind that this was Dr. Wood's first novel. As they say in the islands where she resides, her next book probly even mo' bettah!
